Surgery Time
Today was the big day..it was the day to get your adenoids removed. You were such a brave little boy. Mommy told you last night what would happen and you woke up today ready to go. Daddy and I woke you up around 5:30am and you looked up at me and said "Time to go to the Hospital" in your loud animated tone. Once we got there you greeted everyone and I mean everyone with a loud hello. You told everyone that when you were done you were going home to eat ice cream and watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I think you had the most energy out of everyone there combined since we arrived at 6am. All of the nurses couldn't stop laughing at you. Over a year now you have been having problems with breathing and snoring LOUD while you sleep so they did an X-Ray of your adenoids and said they were too large. I took a few pics of you right when we got there when you were still all smiles and before you had to get in that pretty hospital gown. When it was time to take you back from prep they rolled you back in a wagon which you thought was too cool. You were a little nervous about leaving us but I assured you that we would be right here when you got back. Once you woke up you were very upset and confused. The surgery only took about 30 minutes and Dr. Smith said they were infected and hopes this will solve all of those sleep problems. It took you a few hours to calm down because you were hurting some and didn't feel that good from all the meds. You also hated the IV in your arm once you woke up. You kept asking for us to take it off and it killed us that we couldn't. We got to go home after three hours so we ended up only spending around 5 hrs. total there. You got sick on the way home and was more upset about your blankie and bear "George" getting yucky than anything else. After throwing up a few more times once we got home you finally went to sleep with Daddy at around 2pm and I'm happy to report you are still sleeping peacefully. I hope you feel better when you wake up. The recovery is only about 48 hrs. Mommy can't wait to have my energetic Mr. Jackson back into full swing. Love you sweet-heart. What a brave boy!! I can't imagine having to go through this with a 2 and 1/2 year old! It was hard enough with an 11 month old who isn't aware what is going on. Sounds like Jackson did great, and I hope he is recovering well at home. I'm sure he will feel much better now! Have a great weekend! Love, Tera

Awwww, poor Jackson...but sooo glad to hear he is doing better!!!! I know this has been rough for all of you but hopefully he will start feeling better now. LOVE YOU GUYS, MISS YOU MUCH!!!!
